As anna said, we wont get AKC recognition until our dogs our well populated in the US. I am happy to say, that after months of searching, I've finally found some generalized retriever clubs and a new seminar to train Louie. I'm looking forward to uitlizing his natural instincts and getting some feild grades next to his name so that whe looks attractive to another female spnaiel. The club seems interested in his breed, not many know of the russian spaniels, and i update you on how it goes.

Hi Louie's Mom,

I just found this website today that I thought might be helpful for everyone looking to field train their dogs.  North American Hunting Retriever Association - http://www.nahra.org/?template=nahra_news&nid=19

The link show's that they have already recognized Russian Spaniel's.  From their website, you can find your state to find clubs near you.  Just thought I'd pass it on for all who are interested.

Not only does NAHRA allows all breeds to paricipate in their field event, they actually placed Russian Spaniel on the list of approved breeds with RSC listed as the oficial registry! This suppose to simplify the registration process for trials/tests. Has anyone tried this yet?
